I ran up to Aves Twins with The Scott. Not too cold and I hope it is a sign that Spring is coming soon. I have had enough of Winter. I want warm mornings and evenings, dry trails, and shirtless running. We saw deer and a coyote.

I guess you haven't seen the forecast. It's supposed to snow starting this afternoon and not quit until Sunday night. Hopefully Spring will come after that though.

I'm hoping all this Winter running pays off. I can run in anything but recently I was wishing I lived somewhere tropical.

I fully agree. Winter running is nice for a while, but I'm done with it. I'm tired of running on snow, I'm tired of layering, I'm tired of doing 90% of my miles in the dark, I'm done with soft snow, hardpack, post-holing, and falling on my face. I'm ready for no shirt and tiny shorts.

With that in mind, I was telling Scott that in a month or so I want to go up Cold Fusion, run the Timp ridge and down Timpooneke and circle back around on the Great Western and back down to the car. Should be good by April. Lots of snow travel though.

Sounds like a good mornin'. You've had a killer week!

Amen to the winter running! It has it's fun moments, but still doesn't come close to some nice dirt! Though I haven't reached the point of being done seeing Jun fall on his face.

Cold Fusion mumbo jumbo...

'I'm ready for no shirt and tiny shorts.' Made me chuckle out loud in my office.

There was a tiny bit of dirt between the two summits today and I had forgotten how much I have missed it. Bring on spring.

I will totally do Cold Fusion. I had to bail last year half way up the culoir because I did not have crampons. It was hella steep and hard snow.

I'm hoping for super hard snow. I want to do The Grunge Culoir in May. And White Baldy chute in April. All allow for a good deal of running plus the fun of doing some steeper alpine stuff.
